Infill Block Out Accent Panel Edge Form

Infill Foam Design
EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) infill foam is used to fill voids in slabs, decks, and forms where full-depth concrete isn’t needed. It creates shape and volume while supporting formwork during the pour, then either remains in place or is removed post-cure.
Key Applications:
Elevated Slabs & Decks – Lighten structural load with foam voids instead of full-depth concrete.
Ramps & Tiered Slabs – Shape elevation changes without extra material weight.
Stair Fills & Landings – Quick layout and forming for stairs and transition slabs.
Void Fill Under Slabs – Fill non-traffic bearing zones or isolated areas to reduce concrete use.
Pool & Spa Decks – Lightweight and quick and easy to install. Reduces dead load on pools and decks.
Theater Seating – Strong, resilient and cost effective solution to create any curve, straight line or shape you can imagine.
Architectural Forms – Maintain shape for slopes, tapers, or unique geometry.

Post-Tension Block Outs
Dunamat’s EPS foam block outs are precision-cut void forms designed for post-tension slab and deck systems. Whether you’re working on parking structures, podium decks, or multi-story slabs, our block outs ensure exact placement and clean removal — saving time, reducing labor, and improving consistency.
Key Applications:
Podium and Transfer Slabs – Large multi-story buildings often use post-tensioned podium decks as a structural transition. EPS block outs provide consistent, lightweight voids for anchors and couplers — without adding dead load to the structure.
Parking Structures – High-volume pours and repetitive layouts benefit from pre-cut EPS block outs that speed up slab prep and ensure accurate tendon anchor locations.
Live-End and Dead-End Anchor Recesses – Precisely shaped voids to house post-tension anchor hardware, ensuring proper concrete coverage and easy access after the pour.
Coupler and Sleeve Access Voids – Foam block outs create clean, removable spaces for hardware connections, ensuring future access and reducing chipping or drilling post-cure.
Edge Recesses for Tendon Termination – EPS forms allow for customized perimeter recesses at slab edges, enabling efficient tendon anchorage while preserving aesthetic and structural integrity.
Utility and MEP Coordination – Easily integrate foam block outs to allow for conduit, pipe, or mechanical runs that must pass through post-tensioned zones — without compromising tendon layout or concrete strength.
Step-Downs and Floor Elevation Changes – Where tendon layout needs to bridge across floor height changes, EPS forms simplify the creation of clean step-downs or tapered zones without requiring complex forming.
Shear Wall and Beam Penetrations – Used to create clear openings or sleeves in areas where post-tension cables must avoid contact with vertical elements or ductwork.

Accent Panel Designs
EPS accent panels offer a fast, lightweight, and highly customizable way to add architectural detail to concrete surfaces. Unlike traditional wood or rubber form liners, EPS is easy to handle, cost-effective, and ideal for both one-off designs and high-volume precast production.
Key Applications:
Architectural Facade Patterns – Create depth and texture in tilt-up panels or cast-in-place walls using custom foam inlays for grooves, ribs, reveals, and geometric designs.
Window and Door Surrounds – Form elegant borders or recessed areas around openings without complex carpentry or excessive forming time.
Decorative Wall Features – Build layered, patterned, or branded elements directly into vertical concrete walls using lightweight, CNC-cut foam inserts.
Custom Logos and Branding – Embed company names, logos, or lettering directly into concrete for permanent, professional branding — ideal for schools, offices, or industrial projects.
Precast Panel Formwork – Reusable foam designs for casting multiple identical panels with high detail, reducing material waste and setup time.
Thematic and Specialty Concrete – Bring architectural vision to life with custom textures, flowing curves, or themed motifs in entertainment, civic, or hospitality projects.
Form Liners for Textured Walls – EPS accent panels can act as form liners, replicating brick, stone, or abstract patterns at a fraction of the cost of rubber or urethane liners.

Edge Form
Dunamat’s signature product Edge Form is a sacrificial forming system made from EPS rigid foam board, allowing finish of concrete to the edge of the slab without needing to hand trowel or hand float.
As a concrete contractor, every dollar counts. Labor costs can eat into your bottom line. That’s where Edge Form comes in — a proven system that simplifies the edge finishing process, reduces labor requirements, and helps you deliver high-quality concrete slabs every time.
Every job is an opportunity to improve your profit margin. Cut labor costs without sacrificing quality. Whether you’re working on small slabs or large commercial floors, this system delivers the performance you need with the cost savings your business demands.
Custom sizes and shapes
Edge Form is compatible with all slab reinforcement methods and thicknesses, rebar spacing, diamond dowel spacing and shapes. Send us your project details and our drafting and engineering teams will review your requirements to help make your job easier.
Why concrete contractors love Edge Form
Cut Labor Costs – Stop wasting time on manual edging, floating, and troweling. Edge Form works in perfect harmony with laser-guided screed technology to ensure precise slab edges without additional labor.
Fewer Crew Members Needed – With this easy-to-install, lightweight system, you can use fewer workers to achieve a superior edge finish. It’s a one-person job to set up, so you can redirect your crew to other critical tasks.
Faster Setup, Faster Turnaround – Edge Form is designed for quick, efficient setup. You’ll save hours of labor time over traditional methods.
No Need for Skilled Labor – No special training required. Just install the form, pour the concrete, and let the laser-guided screed handle the rest. It’s that simple.
Reduced Cleanup – With the form’s advanced release agent, cleanup is a breeze. You’ll minimize debris, reduce waste, and spend less time clearing the site.
